After a crazy dosage of the Socceroos in the past week, I think everyone is now feeling the effects of the drug – extreme drowsiness!
In the city on Friday morning at around 8.30am – actually before that, I was on the train from Waverton to the City and of course, the view on the train ride across bridge diffused an aroma of proud looks from all those passengers who took a detour from the traffic and stood up the cabbie drivers waiting outside everyone’s homes. Myself inclusive…anyways…- back to the city, what a scene!
Soccer balls flying around…people honking their cars like they were suddenly struck with an epileptic fit and couldn’t control their wrist…. man, how I was totally blinded by green and yellow!
Walking into Darling Park, I saw businessmen. Correction, I saw zombies dressed in suits desperately seeking the quickest way to get caffeine into their system to survive.
Finally, at the top level of Darling Park I reached my destination….Google Australia. The colours of their logo soothed my eyes a bit, not to mention the succulent breakfast…and my day had only started….
The past few weeks have been spent on family bonding. Unfortunately, not with my immediate family, but the four (or sometimes five) of us who have been spending sleepness weekends partying, lazing around talking about shit and just, somehow, unwilling to go home…
Daddy (Benson) and the four daughters, Jo, Hazel, Isabel and the rebel Amanda who sorta has her own life as well..
Somehow Daddy didn’t tell the three of us off for lying in his bed with him at 5a.m? Well, he just sorta huddled in a corner while Hazel, Isa and I took most part of bed, but I thought he looked pretty please! *LOL
Damn you happy people out there!
Benson’s quote of the day:
“…today we were a sleepy nation and if Australia beats Brazil, they should make it a public holiday…”
Though Theresa and I were a bit bummed that the cute Japs lost, that was the smartest comment that Ben’s made in a while and I give him that… Aussies, all the way .. *Sorry Theresa! I want my public holiday…ha!
Now, that my Daddy’s away…I can hog his computer for a few days! YAY!
