Happy CNY | Year of the Horse

This year has been a little less organised than previous years, mainly because there are so many things going on around this time.

But it has certainly provided another perspective. When you don’t stress over the ‘preparations’ of festive seasons, you are able to actually enjoy the celebrations a lot more! It’s probably a very selfish view but, I mean, everyone needs a break every now and then. Right? And this year is my break. Next year, I’ll be a bit more diligent with the CNY traditions.

I guess it also helps that most of the family and even extended family are now married! Why is that relevant? It means less red pockets to give out! Hahahah..

As usual, our family gatherings continue to grow in numbers. We’re now expecting 2 confirmed (or maybe more?) horse babies!

I do love being Chinese. The culture, the traditions, the years of fascinating history… It’s time to celebrate and be proud of our culture!
