First Holy Yoga Community Class in Sydney | Colossians 3:13
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. ~Colossians 3:13 (The MSG)
God IS GOOD. My first class was such an amazing experience. For me, for my students. And for this, I praise YOU, LORD.
Through the winding road of getting my first class, God provided. God even delivered it in the way that I often like to experience things (whether I would admit to myself or not, it’s likely a fact…); that is, my first class was found after a bit of a whimsical ride.
Since my return from the U.S. and gaining my accreditation, I have been calling around to find places to teach. Being in Australia means that there are certain guidelines or cultural differences that would differentiate my experience from my fellow Holy Yoga sisters in the U.S. Nonetheless, God provides and I am thankful to be able to share every struggle, every feat with my sisters from around the world. Their support and His Divine guidance has brought me the gift of my first community class.
The class was everything that I had hoped for. The flow went as planned, the music, the students, the reaction and most importantly, the Holy Spirit was present. And He touched the hearts of all those in the room.
Long before I had received my instructor certificate, I had thought of this idea where I would make friendship/yogi bracelets by hand and give them to my students when I started running classes. And for my first class, I managed to make one for every student. Realistically, I’m not sure if I am able to continue this, especially as classes get bigger and more frequent. But I was very pleased that I was able to do so for my first one. Each bracelet was made whilst praying for the things that I knew about each student. I believe in the power of pray and how that bracelet can then remind them of how much love God has for them. And hopefully, also, as a cue to bring them back to my classes to experience God and spend time with Jesus.
All in all, I am very blessed and thankful for my Heavenly Father for providing me this journey.
May Holy Yoga classes continue to bring such happiness and joy to all of you.
